NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR
In 1994, Congress designated the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley as a National Heritage Corridor, reognizing the region as a unique national resource. Known as The Last Green Valley, the non-profit organization is steward of the heritage, natural resources and working lands of the 35 towns in northeastern Connecticut and Massachusetts.
RELATIONSHIP
Witan has a decades-long professional relationship with Ms. Bourgois, beginning before she joined the federal Last Green Valley organization after serving as the Executive Director of Connecticut's "Quiet Corner" regional DMO (Destination Marketing Organization). Services have included surveys and economic impact studies.
